Mundford travelled to Scole in freezing conditions to play this semi final of the Norfolk cup. both teams were evenly matched as each tackle was fully committed to by either side which made a lively game from the off, then on the thirty minute mark, Mundford’s Wright received the ball on the edge of the box and chipped the 6 ft + Scole keeper to take Mundford into the lead.

Second half saw Mundford come really close at the kick off, and then Mundford’s defence, not clearing their lines let Scole nip in to get their first. One minute later Mundford lost possession allowing Scole to make a good run down the wing and ending the run with their second. The tackling became harder, culminating in an abundance of free kicks to both teams, Mundford were granted a penalty as Stangroome was brought down in the area, which he took calmly and scored Mundford’s second. with ten minutes to go Scole scrambled in their third and in the last minute Mundford’s Hamilton took a free kick, producing a fine header from Burt, only to see it go just over the cross bar.
