Mundford visited Watton in the quarter finals of the county cup. With a frozen pitch, both teams found it hard to get to grips with the surface but as they settled into the game Mundford’s S. Borrer took control of the middle ground creating many options. B. Stangroome started the scoring for Mundford from a long kick by Mundford’s keeper.
Just before half time D Foster battled his way forward and chipped the keeper to get Mundford’s second goal.

Second half saw Watton step up their game but Mundford’s standard of teamwork was second to none as Thorrold, Massingham, Burt and Fulcher kept them at bay.
Mundford’s third goal came from a link between Hamilton and Foster to allow Stangroome to get his second, minutes later Borrer and Foster sweetly set up Stangroome for his hat-trick and Mundford’s fourth to finish the score tally.
